July 5th, 2023: Human Development Foundation (HDF) and CIHEAM Bari joined forces by signing a Letter of Understanding (LOU). This collaboration aims to actualize HDF’s visionary plan of establishing a climate-resilient olive plantation in Soon Valley, District Khushab, Punjab. CIHEAM Bari, a renowned Italian research institute, will act as our esteemed technical partner, providing us support and expert guidance in selecting suitable areas for olive cultivation, choosing optimal olive varieties, providing comprehensive training to farmers, and empowering women and youth through income-generating activities. By combining our efforts, we are committed to turning climate-smart ventures into tangible realities, thereby nurturing a sustainable and prosperous future for all.
