Your donations will help HDF in its mission to bring quality education to remote classrooms. Donate $7  for 1 Child Donate $35  for 5 Children Donate $70  for 10 Children   Students in far-flung and remote classrooms either lack textbooks altogether or are required to share them extensively with fellow classmates. In the current economics of learning, textbooks constitute indispensable tools for building knowledge-based communities. They remain the most flexible and far-reaching medium for knowledge-sharing, especially in areas with no mobile connectivity and internet access. Without textbooks, children can spend many of their school hours copying content from the blackboard, which severely reduces the time for engaged learning. The cost of learning materials is a key barrier that prevents children from having access to education. Therefore, access to appropriate learning materials e.g. textbooks is listed as a key strategy to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all under the Sustainable Development Goal on education (SDG: 4).
As a not-for-profit organization, our efforts are sustained by the generous donations received from our patrons year on year. Sponsor access to textbooks for a child for a year or become a recurring donor empowering thousands of students to reach their potential. This easy and rewarding task can have a profound and lasting impact on the economic, social, and cultural development of underserved communities.
